Founded in 2003, Boai NKY Medical Holdings Ltd. (NKY Group) is a China Shenzhen Stock Exchange listed company with the stock code 300109. The company currently has two major business segments: fine chemicals and precision medicine. The fine chemical business mainly includes the production and sales of two series of products: polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and Orarez® (PVM/MA); the precision medicine business mainly includes the production and sales of in vitro diagnostic products, as well as the investment in innovative tumor drugs.
Adhering to the corporate spirit of " Care and Innovation" and the corporate values of "serving customers, achieving success for employees, rewarding shareholders, and benefiting society", NKY Group adheres to long-termism and has grown from a regional small chemical factory to a holding company with international influence and sustainable development.
NKY Group has a functional polymer material production base with a total area of more than 500 acres in Jiaozuo, Henan province, and a R&D/production site covering an area of 56 acres in Songjiang, Shanghai. As of the first quarter of 2025, the total number of employees of the group was 1,165, and the total assets of the group were approximately RMB 4.5 billion.

The main operating entity of NKY Group's fine chemical business is Boai NKY Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (NKY Pharma), which operates as parent company of NKY (Jiaozuo) Polymer Materials Co., Ltd., Tianjin Boai NKY International Trade Co., Ltd., NKY Electronic Materials (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Boai NKY Chemicals GmbH, NKY International LLC and other business companies.
NKY Pharma's predecessor undertook the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" of China and became the country's first PVP production company since 1987. After completing privatization and restructuring in 2003, it insisted on taking the two paths of technological innovation and international development: as of 2024, two production areas of Boai and Zhongzhan have been built in Jiaozuo, Henan, accommodating the world's leading PVP series with an annual production capacity of 35,000 tons and the Orarez® series with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons.
In addition, it has successfully developed and produced several world-exclusive functional polymer products; through more than 20 years of hard work, NKY Pharma has formed a complete global sales system, and its products are steadily exported to more than 50 countries and regions around the world, becoming a highly recognized partner of large multinational companies in the fields of medicine, personal care, food & beverage, and batteries. 2003
Since 1980s, then state-owned Boai County Fertilizer Company's subsidiary, Kai Yuan Fine Chemical, was the first in China to produce pharmaceutical excipient polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). In March 2003, under the guide of CCP and local government, a group of shareholders privatised Kai Yuan Fine Chemical and renamed it as New Kai Yuan Pharmaceuticals.(NKY), which has since developed and expanded.

2006
NKY started to establish its international marketing team, as well as hiring Dr.Herbert Wilhelm Ulmer as Chief Scientist. Dr. Ulmer has since then led NKY R&D department to today, significantly improving NKY's production processes and product quality, continuously enriching the NKY's product categories.

In March 2008, NKY began the R&D of OraRez® series. After 10 years of continuorsly improvements and efforts, today NKY is the exclusive manufacturer of PVM/MA series using benzene-free process.
