In the new energy battery sector, the consumption of povidone is approximately 15 tons per GWh. In addition, povidone can serve as a processing aid for carbon nanotube conductive agents, an auxiliary material in lithium batteries, enhancing the energy density of lithium-ion batteries and reducing the amount of binder used, thereby producing a noticeable improvement in the energy density of lithium-ion batteries. The emergence of this novel conductive agent provides strong support for the development of new energy batteries.
In the field of energy extraction, with the gradual depletion of petroleum resources and the advancement of tertiary oil recovery technologies, povidone, as an excellent flow aid (shale inhibitor), will find increasingly widespread application. In natural gas extraction, povidone serves as the preferred natural gas hydrate inhibitor, playing a very important role in reducing the formation of crystals and blockages in natural gas pipelines.
