Structure: Crosslinked Polyvinylpyrrolidone is a crosslinked homopolymer of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone .

Appearance and Properties: White or creamy white, free-flowing powder, odorless or slightly characteristic odor.

Main Properties: Hygroscopic, insoluble in water, acids, bases, and general organic solvents; rapid swelling upon water absorption, but does not form a gel; good flow and plasticity, high compressibility; non-toxic, chemically inert.

Product Standards: Complies with USP/NF, EP, BP, JPE, CP2010.

Main Applications:

Used as a super disintegrant in formulations to rapidly swell and disintegrate, effectively improving drug dissolution and bioavailability, adaptable to wet granulation and direct compression processes. Different particle size products are used in different addition processes, affecting disintegration time and tablet surface appearance.

Used as an adsorbent and complexing agent in formulations, stabilizing the active ingredients of the drug through complexation, improving drug release and bioavailability; there are significant differences in drug release with different particle sizes.

Used as a suspension stabilizer, reducing the sedimentation of drug particles, increasing the redispersibility of the settled liquid.

Application Performance:

 The molecular structure is a highly physically crosslinked network with high capillary activity, absorbing water rapidly; large specific surface area, strong water absorption and swelling capacity, but does not form a high viscosity gel.

Good plastic deformability and flowability, good compressibility, disintegration time is hardly affected by compression force.

Strong reprocessing ability, even after several cycles of wetting/drying, it can still exhibit full disintegration potential.
